Does anyone know how long is a bus ride from San Jose, CA to Santa Cruz, CA?

I'm planning on going to Santa Cruz, CA from San Jose, CA on VTA's Bus Highway 17. I would like to get there early and spent as much time possible in Santa Cruz. However, I need to know how long is the ride. If anyone has ever gone to Santa Cruz this way, could you please tell me? Thank You!!!
