What the hell just happened?

Okay, so I walk into my room, the lights are off , but the radio's on. I flip the light switch, and BAM. Power's out. Like , the radio's out , the room light is out, the closet light is out....but the rest of the house still has power? How is that even possible, and how did it happen? What's going on?
