My iPhone keeps saying the wrong time?

well when I set my iPhone to automatic on date&time it's off by like 7 hours. Then when I manually set the time zone, date and time one of my apps (top girl) completely flips out. Like it says it will take 1012 minutes to get 1/29 for my characters energy when it usually takes 3 minutes to get 1/29 energy. I don't know what to do except reset settings but I don't want to loose all my game data and things. Help?
